Hailing from Kings Park, Robert started studying drums at the age of 7. After graduating high school he moved to California to attend The Percussion Institute of Technology in Hollywood. There he studied with some of the best professionals in the industry and graduated at the top of his class.

After graduation, Robert began working professionally around the L.A. circuit and toured with major acts, doing studio work for motion pictures, commercials and albums.
