Down and Dirty, formed in 1997 is the vision of trumpeter John Goroly. Under John's leadership this powerhouse has been entertaining audiences everywhere and has built a loyal following one fan at a time. In 1999 Bob Bellucci signed on as lead vocalist. With the addition of Bobby's broad range the band has moved beyond playing soul and has added many funk, rock, disco and swing tunes. Bobby also helps out the horn section by playing sax. In 2003 saxophonist Don Torillo joined the group and his playing adds a jazz edge to the band's sound ala Coltrane and Sonny Rollins. In 2004 Joe Ferlito was recruited to lead the rhythm section. Joe's virtuoso bass playing helps put people on the dance floor all night. Rounding out the sophomore class of Down and Dirty are Jim Brosnan and Rob Geyer. Jimmy on guitar and vocals is a multi talented instrumentalist. Most impressive is his knowledge and his ability to play music that was recorded before he was even conceived. Rob on drums lays down an extremely hard driving groove and brings years of performing experience to the Down and Dirty show.
